On 27 February 2026, the Renewable Energy Industries Association of Malawi (REIAMA) proudly joined partners and industry leaders at the Productive Use of Energy (PUE) awareness campaign, organised by Energising Development (EnDev) under Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ Malawi). The event brought together key stakeholders from Malawi’s renewable energy sector to promote the productive use of clean energy technologies that support economic growth, entrepreneurship, and community development.
The campaign saw strong participation from valued REIAMA members including Vitalite Malawi, ZASOLAR, Vinje Green Innovations, Bluewaves Energies Ltd, Gestetner Malawi Limited, Synthesis Agriculture, I.W.E Technologies, and Namuleri, among others. Their presence highlighted the important role private-sector innovators are playing in expanding renewable energy solutions across Malawi.
Through strategic collaboration, innovation showcases, and stakeholder engagement, the awareness campaign demonstrated how renewable energy can power productive activities such as agriculture, small businesses, and local enterprises. By supporting initiatives that promote the productive use of energy, REIAMA and its partners continue to advance sustainable development and strengthen Malawi’s growing renewable energy ecosystem.
REIAMA remains committed to working alongside industry partners, development organisations, and policymakers to accelerate access to clean energy technologies and support inclusive economic growth across Malawi and the broader African renewable energy sector.
