Licensing and Product Compliance Requirements for All Importers and Sellers of Renewable Energy Products
The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) and the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) conducted a joint market surveillance and inspection exercise from 2nd to 6th March 2026. This operation targeted importers and retailers of renewable energy (RE) products across the cities of Blantyre, Lilongwe, and Mzuzu to ensure compliance with national energy regulations and quality standards.
