Powertex Limited is one of Malawi’s leading distributors of automotive, industrial, and Solar batteries as well as solar accessories in Malawi and beyond. The company was founded in 2013 and since its establishment, it has grown from a single outlet to several operational outlets in the southern, Central, Northern, and beyond borders. In 2013, it was officially registered with the government of Malawi with the aim of providing quality, affordable products, and services to every client that it serves.

Our core business is the importation and distribution of industrial and automotive batteries under the brand, PowerStart. We continue to broaden our product range to the market needs and as such we have a diversified battery range to suit a continually growing and quality-demanding market.

• Automitive Division
  • Powerstart Car Batteries are available for in both JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) and DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung) types, and they are also available in the maintenance-free option.
• Industrial Division
  • Powertex deals with industries batteries for; UPS, Forklift, Traction Batteries, Telecoms Batteries, Standby Batteries, Mono-blocks and any other industrial which would be supplied upon request.
• Solar Division
  • The Solar Division under PowerStart stocks all solar items which can be sold as single items or systems for Home use or Industrial use both as Electricity Back up or Pure Solar Installations.
