ABOUT US
The registered trustees of the Renewable Energy Industries Association of Malawi (REIAMA) were established in 1999 with the explicit aim of promoting renewable energy technologies (RETs) in a sustainable manner to the satisfaction of consumers in Malawi. The Association draws its membership from individuals and companies who are involved in the production, supply, importation, exportation, installation, and servicing of RETs in Malawi. In addition, the Association also draws membership from organizations, individuals, projects, and programs that have sufficient and verifiable interest in the promotion, production, supply, importation, exportation, installation, and servicing of RETs in Malawi.
Promotion of RETs
The Association actively promotes the production, supply, demand, exportation and importation of renewable energy technologies in the country on behalf of its members. This is done using various mechanisms including participation in international trade fairs, provision of various marketing fora and hosting adverts on its website.
Dispute Arbitration
The Association provides dispute arbitration between its members upon request and between a member and an end user of products and services provided by a REIAMA member.
Training
The Association provides training to its members and other interested parties in renewable energy-related topics including installation of RETs, servicing of RETs, development of business plans for corporations, strategic plan development and execution, and procurement.
Information hub for RETs
The association is a knowledge repository of activities, projects, research findings, and all information that is renewable energy industry-related. Members will get information on renewable energy in Malawi by contacting the Association.
